Thrive Performance
Do You D.A.R.E.?
Gerry Halphen

Gerry Halphen is a passionate, energetic leader who leverages 17 + years of experience to deliver measurable results and impact lasting change.  Gerry’s broad and varied background includes management positions in operations, product development, marketing, sales and alliance management for such diverse organizations as the US Army, Andersen Consulting, and Internet Security Systems, among others.

In April 2008, Gerry realized a life-long dream by creating Thrive Performance, an organization focused on helping organizations and individuals achieve higher levels of performance through strategic planning, process improvement and coaching/leadership development.  His diverse clients include Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and dozens of individual leaders across the country.

Gerry previously served as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development for The Network, Inc., a privately held company in Norcross, GA that focuses on the intake and management of sensitive information such as Sarbanes Oxley compliance allegations and first report of injury insurance claims for over 50% of the Fortune 500.  As a key member of the senior management team, Gerry was responsible for leading the effort to define the company’s strategic direction and managing the product development, marketing and fulfillment services teams in the execution of that strategy.

Gerry joined The Network in February, 2003, as the Director of Product Development and Management, where he was tasked with delivering new products to the company’s extensive client base, something that had not been done in over four years.  Starting from scratch and with no direct reports, Gerry led the effort to develop and launch three new products and over fifty enhancements to existing products, delivering a 30% increase in recurring revenue in the process.  Along the way, Gerry documented and institutionalized all product development and product management business process infrastructure, introduced a new Project Management Office, and grew his team from 0 to 19 people.

Prior to joining The Network, Gerry held key management positions in such leading companies as Internet Security Systems (now IBM), where he managed the company’s single largest alliance channel partner, and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he spent more than three years working on strategic change management and business process reengineering efforts for large, global telecommunications and government clients.

An all-American triathlete, four-time Ironman finisher and former Army helicopter pilot, Gerry brings a deep understanding of how to plan, execute and deliver results, no matter what adversity is encountered along the way.  Gerry thrives on challenges and his innate leadership skills and ability to persevere have inspired friends and colleagues alike to perform at higher levels and achieve greater success, both in business and in life.

Gerry holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University where he graduated cum laude.  He currently resides in Alpharetta with his wife of more than seventeen years, Christy, and their two daughters, Emily (8) and Olivia (5).  He also serves as an advisor for the Getting 2 Tri Foundation, an organization focused on helping disabled people compete in the sport of triathlon.
